ESCO is the multilingual classification of European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations.

The ESCO classification identifies and categorises skills, competences, qualifications and occupations relevant for the EU labour market and education and training. 

 

For health occupations, there was a Sectoral Reference Group on Human healthcare and social services activities.

The Chairman of this SREF was the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy General Secretary who chaired this project with the support of the Member Organisations, Executive Committee and Working Group members.

 

The Europe Region of World Physiotherapy agreed definitions for Physiotherapy and related occupations which were accepted by ESCO Board and EU Commission.
